M.SC. GERMÁN OJEDA . Exploration geologist/geochemist at present working for Antofagasta Minerals. With 12 years of experience mainly in greenfield exploration for Andean porphyry copper deposits and applied geochemistry from regional to deposit scale targeting. In the past has worked for Vale, Pan Pacific Copper and Quantum Pacific Exploration (QPX). First research work applied on geochemistry framed in the M.Sc. thesis working on soil gas geochemistry at the Toki cluster with Dr. Brian Townley, after that, have managed several geochemistry programs including stream sediments surveys through central-south Andes, passive and active soil gas surveys in the Atacama Desert, green rocks geochemistry surveys at El Indio and the Oligocene Chilean porphyry copper belts, among others. Today is part of the generative exploration team at Antofagasta minerals, focusing on defining regional high potential prospective areas and evaluation of targets within all north and central Chile.
